RYA Day Skipper Motor
4 Day Practical course
An ideal qualification for someone that already has the RYA Powerboat 2 or RYA Helmsman and is looking to gain a formal qualification and experience in larger twin engine motor boats. Ideal pre course experience is basic navigation and helmsmanship. In order to get the most out of this course it is recommended that you attend the Day Skipper Theory shore based course beforehand. Available as an online course.
Course Content: Preparation for sea, deck work, navigation, pilotage, meteorology, rules of the road, maintenance and repair work, engines, victualling, emergency situations, boat handling , passage making, night cruising.
Cost per person: 1.350 € not including accommodation or food.

RYA Yachtmaster Offshore
7 Days in the classroom to take the RYA Yachtmaster Shore based qualification with certificate. This course equips you to navigate safely on coastal and offshore passages. Take your theory knowledge to the standard required for the Yachtmaster Coastal and Offshore practical exams, concentrating on advanced navigation and meteorology skills.
4 x days motor practical preparation or 4.5 days sail practical preparation
2 x days for the final practical exam.
To attain the RYA Yachtmaster™ Offshore candidates must pass a practical examination of their ability to skipper a yacht. A Yachtmaster is capable of skippering on extended offshore passages by day or night.
RYA Yachtmaster Offshore preparation course is the best way in which to prepare and the vast majority of successful candidates choose a reputable RYA course provider such as Just Sailing to undertake such preparation before they launch into the exam itself.
Cost per person: 2.100€ for sail and 2.400€ for motor.
Note: Additional costs the exam payment to the RYA £256 and the contribution to the examiners travel expenses of 200€.

Practical Yachtmaster Motor - Preparation course
To attain the RYA Yachtmaster™ Offshore Motor candidates must pass a practical examination of their skippering ability. A Yachtmaster is capable of skippering the motor boat on extended offshore passages by day or night.

RYA First Aid course
A one-day course covers all the usual first aid subjects, but from a boating perspective. It is aimed at anyone who goes afloat, whether on inland waters, rivers, estuaries or open seas.
In a medical emergency a little first aid knowledge and immediate action can save lives, especially in remote locations. It fulfils the requirements for professional skippers of small craft working within 60 miles of a safe haven, the Senior First Aid certificate needed by offshore racers subject to ISAF’s regulations on first aid training (OSR 4.08.4).
Note: one day classroom course and suitable for students taking the Yachtmaster programme. The cost is 200€

RYA Short Range radio is an online course, completed in your free time (around 6 hours of study). The a final exam is face to face in Chiavari, Genova.
